During each 30-minute session, caregivers and their infants (ages 0-2 years) will meet with a museum educator to discuss maritime topics, celebrate baby’s development, and work together to create a different maritime-themed DIY sensory activity or toy. Examples of the featured DIY activities include waterplay bags, beach sensory boxes, rain sticks, and texture blocks.

These programs at the North Carolina Maritime Museum are designed to be a chance for the child and caregiver(s) to connect with each other, other caregivers/children, and North Carolina’s maritime history and environment.
