Beaufort By The Sea License Plate

The Beaufort Business Association (BBA) is excited to offer this unique design, pending approval from the North Carolina Division of Motor Vehicles (NCDMV). In order for these plates to go into production, the NCDMV requires that a minimum of 500 plates be pre-sold statewide. We appreciate your support in helping us reach this goal!

Please note:

• By completing this application and submitting payment, you are reserving one of the first 500 “Beaufort By The Sea” plates. However, production will only begin once the 500-plate threshold has been reached.
• You may request a personalized plate with up to 4 characters. The NCDMV will check your request for conflicts with existing plates, and they will notify you if your requested personalization is unavailable.
• The BBA cannot control the timing of when the 500-plate requirement will be met, nor can we guarantee the availability of specific personalized combinations.
• If for some reason, we fail to meet the 500 plate threshold, all money will be returned.
• To reserve your plate, you will need the following information from your Vehicle Registration Card and Drivers License:
  • Current NC Plate number
  • Drivers License number
  • Vehicle Id Number (VIN)
  • Year / Model / Make / Body Style
  • Name of Insurance Company and policy number
