Making plans for the Independence day holiday weekend? There’s no better place to celebrate our nation’s birthday than Beaufort, North Carolina, named ‘America’s Favorite Town’ by Travel + Leisure. From the small-town atmosphere to the Thursday July 4th parade and the spectacular fireworks display on Saturday July 6th, it is a not-to-miss weekend.
The parade always draws some of the most creative minds in town, including Beaufort’s very own Sweet Potato Queens decked out in their creative costumes. The parade begins at 11 am on Front Street in downtown Beaufort.
“We are thrilled to once again co-sponsor this event with the Town of Beaufort,” states Nelson Owens, president of the Beaufort Business Association.
