Beaufort Business Association Launches New Website

After many months of hard work and dedication, the Beaufort Business Association is pleased to announce the launch of a new website!

The primary goal during the redesign process was to create a more valuable, user-centric and responsive resource across all platforms and devices. Specifically, the association wanted to focus on making it easier for visitors to learn and locate valuable information in planning their visit to Beaufort.

The website is reorganized information into five categories to showcase businesses. These include: Dine, Stay, Shop, Play, and Services.

“The new website has been designed to offer the ultimate user-friendly experience with improved navigation and functionality while allowing visitors to see a complete directory of over 300 businesses and organizations,” according to Nelson Owens, president of the Beaufort Business Association.

“This website will be the official tourism site for the Town of Beaufort,” he stated.

Created with the user experience in mind, the site includes many new features to help users to navigate the site and find exactly what they need in planning their visit to historic Beaufort quickly and easily.

Beaufort is known for many events held throughout the year, From the Beaufort Historic Site to the North Carolina Maritime Museum, together they host over 200 events annually.

In addition to the historical and maritime events, other categories include live music, festivals, food & beverage, holidays, and fishing. BBA is actively adding events to the website at this time.

Visitors to the new site can stay informed with the latest Beaufort news through the new online blog. The blog will contain richer online content such as announcements and upcoming programs. This valuable content will be contained on the Beaufort Happenings page on the site so the user is always just one click away from useful and pertinent information.

The website was funded through a grant from the Crystal Coast Tourism Development Authority.

BBA hired Sara Whitford of Seaport Webworks to collaborate on the creation of the website. “We were thrilled with the work provided by Sara,” stated Owens.
