Description
Beaufort historical records list THE GENERAL STORE property as “Lot 10 Old Town given to Janie in 1732 for love, goodwill and affection.” THE GENERAL STORE was built and opened for business on Lot 10 in 1980 drawing in customers from the beautiful Beaufort boardwalk with hand dipped ice cream, Beaufort t-shirts and coastal souvenirs. It is still to this day owned and operated by the same family with love, goodwill & affection.
We love hearing customers say “I came here as a child for ice cream and now I am bringing my children!” Offerings have expanded to 32 flavors of dip ice cream, fudge made on the premises, assorted saltwater taffy (bulk & boxed), t-shirt combos, caps, sweatshirts, Willow Tree gifts, and children’s’ plush, books and toys. Come see us and start or continue a family tradition!
